Camp Packages: Fraser Dingo 4WD Adventures
Looking at camping on Fraser Island but don’t have your own equipment? Fraser Dingo has you covered! Camp Packages are available with any 4WD hire (and included with the Couples 4WD Camper) – just add them to your cart!
Our camp packages include all you need to camp on Fraser Island comfortably! Firstly, it includes your camp permits! As Fraser Island is a National Park you require a National Park Camp Permit to camp overnight on the Island (in a vehicle or tent). Fraser Dingo book your camp permits for you based on your personalised itinerary in either Amenity or Beach Camping – you choose which you would prefer or if you’re going for more than one night, you can have a combination of both.
While you bring all the food you require for your trip, we provide you with the equipment needed to cook it and eat it! Our camp packages include 1 Gas Camp Cooker with 1 bottle of gas per night on the island in addition to a camp box. This camp box includes a frying pan, saucepan, large serving spoon, peeler, tongs, spatula, chopping board, big and small sharp knife, dishcloth, dish soap, scourer, tea towels and of course plates, bowls, cups and cutlery (teaspoons, tablespoons, knives, forks) per person. Additionally, there is a storage crate provided that has a whistling kettle, tarp, 2 bungee cords and a plastic bucket.
For camping equipment, a 2-3 person tent is provided per 2 people with sleep mats. Camp chairs are provided for each person to sit and watch the sunrise/sunset or sit at the collapsible table we provide in the package. Furthermore, an esky/coolbox is provided along with a 5-litre water container and the all-important dingo stick!
If you are booking a couples camper, the camp packages are included minus the tent and sleep mats as the bed is in the back with linen, camp pillows, window shades and visor. Remember, the camp packages do not include sleeping bags but they can be hired at our office or you are welcome to bring your own sleeping bag or blanket.
A few things we’d recommend bringing, that aren’t included if you’re hiring the camp package:
- Torch and or lamp, we don’t provide these so it best to bring a headtorch or lantern.
- Salt, pepper, oil and condiments!
- Rubbish bags, bring a few of these as you need to make sure your rubbish is contained and disposed of correctly.
- Toilet paper (shovel) for beach camping (no amenities).
- $2 coins for hot water in amenity campground showers!
- Some money for extra ice in the esky (if you required)
