Tag Along Tour Terms & Conditions

Refunds

All bookings are subject to a 7 day cancellation policy. There are no refunds or date changes within 7 days of your departure date.

Any cancellations more than 7 days prior to departure are subject to the agent cancellation policy or if booked directly with Fraser Dingo get a full refund less any credit card fees.

Please note that all tours are subject to minimum passenger numbers to proceed. While Fraser Dingo will provide as much notice as possible if a tour does not meet requirements, in some cases cancellations may occur at short notice and can be outside of our control. In such instances, we will assist with arranging a refund.

Itineraries

All tour itineraries and sightseeing locations are subject to weather conditions, tide times, and tour duration. As safety is our highest priority when travelling along a tidal beach, visits to Indian Head may not be possible if tides or weather conditions make access unsafe. In these circumstances, an alternative sightseeing experience will be provided.

If weather or tidal conditions prevent access to some locations included in the 2-day or 3-day itinerary, no refunds will be issued. Refunds will only be available if the tour is cancelled prior to departure due to official Government weather warnings.

K’gari (Fraser Island) is a remote and naturally wild environment, and adverse weather conditions can present safety risks. All site visits and itinerary adjustments are at the discretion of the tour guide to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all passengers.

Site visits are subject to National Parks regulations, including visitor limits and allocated time slots (for example, Lake McKenzie may only be accessible from 2:00 pm for one hour). Shorter stays at sites are due to these restrictions and permit conditions and are outside of our control.

Accommodation

During our Tag Along Tours, guests are hosted at our private beach house accommodation – shared rooms, bathrooms with hot showers and toilets, and communal areas.

We understand that some guests may prefer gender-specific room allocations. Requests can be made at the time of booking, and we will do our best to accommodate them wherever possible. However, room allocations depend on factors such as availability and tour group makeup, so we cannot guarantee all requests.

Damages

Please note that drivers and passengers are responsible for any damage caused to tour vehicles, as outlined in the Driver Agreement signed during tour check-in. Any costs incurred as a result of vehicle damage may be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking or check-in.

Guests may also be held liable for any damage caused to accommodation, facilities, or property during the tour. Where damage is determined to have resulted from guest negligence, misconduct, or failure to follow tour guidelines, the associated repair or replacement costs may be charged to the responsible guest(s).

Food

Meals are organised and prepared by our lovely Dingo Team and volunteers, helping to create a fun and social group experience. Any dietary requirements or food allergies must be included on the pre-departure waiver and submitted by the required deadline. While we will do our best to accommodate dietary needs, meals are prepared in shared kitchen environments, and we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination.

Please note that gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan dietary requests incur an additional charge of $5 per person, per day, to help cover the higher cost of specialty ingredients and substitutes.

Alcohol is not included and is the responsibility of each guest to provide. Guests who choose to consume alcohol are expected to do so responsibly and respectfully, with consideration for fellow travellers, accommodation providers, and tour staff. Excessive intoxication, disruptive behaviour, or unsafe conduct will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the tour without refund.

Helping the tour run smoothly

Guests are required to assist the guide with cleaning up and preparing for an early departure on Day 2. This is a shared responsibility across the group, and delays caused by late starts or lack of participation may impact the ability to visit time-sensitive, tide-dependent locations. These sites require sufficient travel time across the island, and all guests must ensure the group is ready to depart on time to meet barge departure schedules.

We ask all guests to treat our team and fellow passengers with respect at all times. A cooperative, considerate attitude helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour may impact the tour experience and, in serious cases, result in removal from the tour without refund.

Driving on tour

All drivers must be over 21 years of age and hold a current full driver’s licence with a minimum of 2 years’ driving experience.

A valid credit or debit card is required to secure the security bond of $2,500 (AMEX not accepted). Your security bond will be released within 2 business days, once checked by our on site mechanics and cleared of any potential damage.

Drivers may choose to reduce their excess to $0 for an additional $50 per person, which removes the requirement for a bond hold. Terms and conditions apply.

All drivers must also demonstrate an intermediate level of English to ensure they can clearly understand and respond to verbal instructions from the tour guide throughout the experience.

The safety briefing is mandatory for all drivers and runs for approximately 30 minutes, and all information is also emailed in advance for review. We are unable to take responsibility for any drivers who arrive late and therefore miss part or all of the safety session, including the opportunity to drive.

Preparing for your tour

Passengers are provided with all necessary information at the time of booking and are expected to read, understand, and prepare accordingly prior to arrival. Please make sure to view our Tag Along Tour preparation document here.

Passengers are also responsible for arriving at the correct departure location and at the scheduled departure time. We are not responsible for missed departures due to lateness or arriving at the wrong location.

Please note that if our tour does not meet the minimum numbers to fill multiple cars, driving will no longer be an option. Passengers are not allowed to drive the lead vehicles. In this case, all participants will join the tour as passengers.

We hope you enjoy your Tag Along Tour to K’gari with Fraser Dingo 4WD Adventures!
